This is a rather unusual
listing. Here you see one page of art from Sandman. It is from the
now released ABSOLUTE SANDMAN VOLUME II. The original art was from the "A
GAME OF YOU" Sandman storyline, but no one was very pleased with the
original inks over Colleen Doran's pencils. When the opportunity came to
do the new Sandman editions, Neil Gaiman and DC gave Colleen Doran the
opportunity to re-ink the entire 24 page story. Most copies of the
original pencil art were destroyed in a flood, but a few remained.

All pages of the book as it
originally appeared in "A GAME OF YOU" were reproduced onto DC bristol
paper as blue line art. You can see the blue line word balloons in some
of the scans. Colleen Doran then inked all of the pages using the blue
lines and what was left of her original pencil art as a guide. All 24
pages were completely redone this way. These are the pages that will
appear as the new version of this story in Absolute Sandman II.
